What's the difference between Free and Pro Trading Education

Aug 09, 2023

Throughout the Trading and Mentoring world there are various different ways that Mentors like to publish what they are doing and how, but there is normally a clear difference.

The difference is that they are not going to give you everything for free most of the time. Normally, the days/month/years of work have to be worth something and for that reason they deliver their knowledge on a more private basis as its valuable stuff (If they are legitimate).

There is a lot you can learn for free online however, mostly things that will help you improve from a basic standpoint. This will not always be enough for you to learn a strategy from head to toe from someone who trades in the same way everyday. If you have spent an extreme amount of time and energy learning, would you give it away for free? Probably not.

You see the thing is what you see for free VS what you pay for is different in many cases.

In the trading world this is normally getting 'directional' ideas, meaning what a trader believes is going to increase or decrease in value in the near, medium or long term. This doesn't include actual trade management; entries, exits, risk management plans etc. Everything that is required to make the whole system work may not be included simply because you can't explain it for free very easily in a short amount of time and of course it is the main cog in what you have created as a whole strategy.

Normally, within my posts and streams I answer questions regarding many things, mindset, picking trades and other simple advice and rules that I put in my own trading and training. This is because it's easy to explain to people who are new and also not so new. This approach is beneficial for the masses because most people are either new to trading or generally not that serious and just doing it for fun. These people are fine to just brush the surface and not really take things anything further.

There are those however who look to expand their knowledge over time and become one of the people who has paid and put the work in. The only formula to success is to learn and learn until you are competent and know what you are doing. This process involves in-depth learning and training normally delivered by someone else's knowledge which you then expand on. Again, giving this for free is not only difficult in very short videos, but also not viable to give away for free because it also often requires questions and help, which requires time, which normally isn't free.

So the main distinction between what is posted for everyone publicly and what is paid for is simple;

Free advice that will get you up from a newbie level or improve your current trading strategy VS getting full trade and risk management plans for long term, consistent, competent trading. Two traders can take the same trade and only one may be in profit, regardless of the direction. Trade management is the key here and the difference between newbie and professional becomes ever so clearer.

The best thing to do really is to just get what works from who works.
